CSS Hunley - the Civil War Submarine

The dream of men traveling underwater has been one of fascination. Leonardo Da Vinci imagined the submarine in his drawings. During THE American Revolution American inventor David Bushnell created his “Turtle” a single manned crank driven submersible. But during the American Civil war, there was an invention that was the true precursor to the modern submarine, and it was the first used in combat and the first to sink a ship. Hosted by Colin D. Heaton.

  1. I wouldn't want to be in a sub I would feel claustrophobic and in those old subs you would feel it more

  3. Was on the barge that brought the Hunley back to Charleston. Don't talk too loud about it they might remember it & want to take it back to sea & sink it again, like they did with the Battle flag & the statues.

    1. I agree. Also, it isn't true Americans that what this. It's the communist left wing that happen to reside in America. Their goal is to destroy America as we know her. Real Americans want to preserve and honor our history.

  4. The first death traps. Any man entering one of those infernal machines has monumental balls of steel.
