HB 2124 “requires, rather than authorizes, law enforcement agencies to communicate with the appropriate federal official regarding the immigration status of any individual, including reporting knowledge that a particular alien is not lawfully present in the United States or otherwise cooperate with the appropriate federal official in the identification, apprehension, detention, or removal of aliens not lawfully present in the United States.”

And then the 'appropriate federal official' will just release them. Sorry, but I have zero faith in the Federal government right now.
Federal government letting illegals go? Here's a state official making rules for arrestig illegals:
ReplyDelete"The District Attorney of Maine’s most populous county will no longer charge individuals, including illegal aliens, who are caught driving without a license, driving with a suspended registration, or driving an unregistered motor vehicle".

Damn! Maine will do anything to entice people to come to their state...

I'm plumbing the depths of 'negative faith' in the government.
ReplyDeleteSounds like this is an attempt to stop sanctuary cities. But what is the jail time associated with not reporting the leeches. If none then it is a pointless law.
ReplyDeleteI never thought I would live to see the days where we have to pass laws to enforce laws. It is a mockery. How do you not see at this point that there is no fixing it.
ReplyDeleteRecall that arch-Commie FDR imprisoned many thousands of Japanese-Americans during WW2... without a trial or hearing... and those were AMCITS. Why can't we treat the newcomers at least as friendly as arch-Commie FDR (America's 20th Century totalitarian monster, ok, one of them).
ReplyDeleteHow absolutely insane is our world. A new law saying you have to enforce other laws.
ReplyDeleteThey’ll just ignore it as well.
