I always said that little kids can get away with doing stuff to big dogs and get away with it. don't think so ? you try that. odds are you be barked at at least if not bitten my neighbor's grandkid Sky did things to my big old dog Slim that me or the vet wouldn't even try. then too, she used to share her meals with him as well. like half of her hot dog. her mom didn't like that part much,,, dave in pa.
granted it was fun to watch the two of them together. Sky was maybe 20 some odd pounds and Slim was a solid 110 of heart ,bone and muscle. she used to kiss him on the top of his head before going in the house. getting dusty in here. dave in pa.
I think dogs know that more than most people. But didja see how each nudged the other away from the bowl. It looks like they'll be best friends for life.

Ever see a kid's face ripped off by a dog that just had enough of a spoiled, pushy kid being allowed to push the nice dog one step too far?....then the dog gets put down instead of the stupid parents who thought is was oooohhh sooo cute to let the kid push the dog one step too far. This stupidity is a tragedy just waiting to happen.
