I live 100 yards from a lake in NE Texas and we have a similar problem with bugs, though not quite as bad as the one in #10! To control flying bugs I run a 24" shop fan with a window screen over the intake side. Flying bugs get trapped by the hundreds, sometimes thousands. Running a soft dustpan brush across the screen turns them into dust.

BTW, the commentator in the video talks about his sponsor ThruNight flashlights. I have several and they really are excellent products.
