8) I recently inventoried all my guns and realized that calling it a collection would be giving myself too much credit. I think what I actually have is an accumulation.
A porn star once told me Cetaphil hand lotion is sometimes used in the skin flicks because it has the same consistency and color as jizz. Next time you buy a bottle at Walgreens ask the checkout person for the special Hawk Tuah promotional nozzle. I'm sure they’d be happy to accommodate you.
#8) since one of the synonyms for enthusiast is believer methinks i believe its only normal to buy another gun . . . . . or at least more ammo - you know, "for truth, justice & the american way”. (And now another exciting episode in the adventures of. . . .)
#8: Any number of guns where very few are of the same calibre is a collection. Any number of guns over six where they are all the same calibre, is an arsenal - six is a very small arsenal, ten to fifteen is Chicago-size, while anything over one hundred is considered Texas-size.
Unless found in fully automatic, shotguns are never included in arsenal definitions. I don't make the rules, I just relay them.
The only duplicate calibers I have are 4 in 30.06, 4 in .357 Mag, and 4 in 9mm. I am in the arenal class in .22 LR. I don't want to talk about shotguns. That might be admitting I have a problem. And just for the record Italian shotguns can be a very expensive habit.
See, I’m just the opposite. I tend to acquire and accumulate firearms of the same caliber. In my mind, it’s just less different kinds of ammo to find and store. Having said that, I think I’m pretty well covered in all the standard flavors.
Ask a real gun owner " How many guns do you own?" Most real ones will cock their head and say "I don't rightly know." That's how you know a real gun owner. If they give you a number they are either lying or bragging.
The wife found out how much Glocks cost and she knows I have 3. She demanded an inventory and I thought it might be a good idea to get all of the serial numbers down. I found 3 9mm pistols I don't remember buying. Two of them have never been fired. BTW: I have a Glock 45 MOS with a red dot for sale with less than 100 rounds through it for $550 shipped.
11: Too true. It recently dawned on me that a 22 year old lady I was watching on TikTok had in fact paid for her own back-to-back vacations to France and Australia (as opposed to traveling with rich parents) and that just being hot and posting obsessively to social media probably made her a millionaire. 17: I can see that ending poorly.

DeleteIsn't the initial goal to at least have one in every caliber?

3 is 2, 2 is 1 and 1 is none. Need at least 10.

Delete2- just flip the cushion.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I've done that to cover up something else at a girlfriend's friend's house.
Delete#8: I prefer to call my assortment as "Having a Golf Bag".
ReplyDeleteGuns? I don’t have any guns. I have a few rifles, some pistols and revolvers, some shotguns but, no, no guns.
ReplyDeleteTHIS IS MY RIFLE. THIS IS MY GUN. ONE IS FOR SHOOTING. ONE IS FOR FUN.

ReplyDeleteI used to have a few guns, until that Lake Michigan boating accident.
ReplyDeleteDamn, Lake Michigan is deep, bet none of them are recoverable.
DeleteI forgot. Been a goodly while since the tragic canoe accident in the bay.

When asked how many guns you have, the correct answer is, "MYOFB."
