"Well, my day started out pretty shitty..."

EUGENE, Ore. (AP) — It was a classic case of going from the outhouse to the penthouse.

Less than an hour before her semifinal at U.S. track trials, 400-meter runner Kendall Ellis was trapped in a porta-potty, banging on the door, screaming for someone to let her out.

  1. Every portable commode I have been in locks from the inside. Not sure how that would happen that they got locked in.

    1. Almost every porta potty has a place on the outside to place a padlock. Any hook, stick, cable, or whatever stuck through them could cause a person to be locked inside.
