No more Ho Ho Ho for Bevier

CHEROKEE, N.C. (WLOS) - A North Carolina man was arrested on several child abuse charges.

It comes as shocking news to many in the Cherokee area as he’s been a familiar face for years posing as Santa Claus.

Cherokee police say 78-year-old Bevier Hasbrouck Sleight worked for years at Santa’s Land Fun Park and Zoo.

    I’ve watched this country go from a high trust society to a very low to no trust environment over the years, due in no small part to assholes like this guy. Both during and after the fall, punishments for bad behavior are going to be much harsher and swifter. Fair warning. Eod1sg Ret

    That's down the road from me. No wonder the kiddies looked so jittery and kept moving around when they sat on Santa's lap. Santa, however, looked extremely happy.
