Over a fight.....

The Long Beach school police officer who shot and killed an 18-year-old mother when she was a passenger in a fleeing car in 2021 has been sentenced to three years in state prison, officials announced Tuesday.

  1. I will wager any amount of money that if I had shot a fleeing teenager, I would do more than three years regardless of the circumstances. There is no justification for shooting at a fleeing car with three people in it only one of whom is of any interest to the police.

    2. I was in a discussion about this with a friend who is related to a sheriff deputy in my area... He was adamant that police were held to a higher standard than the average joe blow when it came to shootings... I laughed at him so hard I almost began to cry..

  2. The lawyer's will get almost 5 million which leaves the "family" with 8 million. Should help raise her child, prolly not.

  4. 3 years is better than "We did an investigation and proper procedures were followed". More cops should go to prison when they screw up just like us little folk. Treat 'em like coyotes. Kill a couple and hang their bodies over a fence. The others will get the idea.
