    1. We are on the GOLO program. They have some great avocado toasts and whole wheat tortilla creations with avocado for breakfast that are outstanding.

    2. Had avocado trees, ate avocado on toast with mayo, salt & pepper before it became a "thing".
And you can't have ceviche without them!

    4. We had an avocado tree in our back yard. Salt water intrusion from Hurricane Idalia killed it.

  3. I must have 20 avocado pits growing, I don't think they ever grow a avocado but there fun to grow. Have one that's been growing for 15yrs , grows to the top of the green house , drops it's leaves & I chop it down & it takes off again.

    1. I have a banana tree like that, it does grow bananas but they never ripen
Avocados are ok, I only have it as a dip for chips if I'm having a Mexican/TexMex dish

    1. The avocado trees dad planted were every bit of 40 feet tall. I know because at full extension, the 20' extension ladder didn't reach. The drip line was about 25 feet diameter.

  5. Dad planted two Bacons. The fruits they produced were huge. I measured them compared to what you find in the store. Three times the size, over 5x the volume. At store prices they'd fetch about $8 each.

Some major road construction adjacent to the trees stunted then killed the trees.

  8. Guacamole is spreadable kale.
Around here, what I have discovered is the direct correlation to the consumption of guacamole to the decreased ability of men to hold the door open for women and the elderly, and a significantly decreased ability to be able to change a tire.
