Tennessee family seeks answers after dog run over by FedEx truck
ELIZABETHTON, Tenn. (WJHL) – The Burleson family’s pet dog Bear was injured after a FedEx driver delivered a package and then drove off, hitting the dog. Now, they’re seeking answers and wanting an apology directly from the driver.
If the truck hit a dog who was on a eash or behind a fence I would agree with the anger. But the dog was lose the owner is wrong and responsible and should apologize to the driver.
Never mind the fact that the dog was on its own property and the driver knew that dog was there. I live on unfenced rural property and I don't put my dog on a leash every time I let her out.
I grew up on a farm with a couple of farm dogs. Took an act of God to not hit them often. They would weave in and out and in front. Total chaos sometimes.
I hear the voice over saying the driver knew he hit the dog, but that is not evident on the video. Did the driver realize that he hit the dog? I admit that I'm more than impressed with how the FedEx driver handles my dog. But I'm assuming that is an individual issue.
I didn’t see the driver swerve to impact the free roaming animal, that would definitely be wrong. Dog running around doing dog stuff and gets hit, shit happens get over it. Loves my pups, but if their stupid enough to get run over well that’s just sucks but it is hardly the drivers fault.
In that part of the country, driver would be safer moving far away.

DeleteSo if your dog is off leash and where vehicles are supposed to drive and it get's hit, whose fault is that???
DeleteI don't answer rhetorical questions if I can avoid it. No matter what I say, you'll find fault in it.
DeleteIf you love your dog, protect it, don't let it run free in the front yard. Dogs and cars are a bad combination.

ReplyDeleteEvolution in Action. Dogs gotta learn to not play in traffic.
ReplyDeletePrivate property is not traffic.
