Abolish the ATF is Now a Normal Political Idea

The 119th Congress provides gun owners a unique chance to go on offense and advance pro-gun legislation. Donald Trump’s victory in November, coupled with Republicans’ retaking of the Senate and their continued control of the House, puts gun owners in a good position to get on the legislative scorecard, at least on paper.

  2. If it's not in the Constitution it doesn't deserve to be in DC.

  3. Get rid of the ATF, it's corrupt just like the rest of the 3 letter agencies. Never ever trust any Federal agency.

  4. But-but-but, if they abolish the ATF, who will we buy our $200 tax stamps from?

“Of course not, I don't believe in guns!”
“Then I'm afraid my daughter won't be coming over. If you won't protect your own kids why would you protect mine?”

  5. Alcohol, Tabaco and Firearms. They suck at regulating any of them, and shouldn't regulate any of them at a Federal level. The 1st two where all about a tax revenue protection racket, and latter is all about abolishing firearms anyway they could.

  6. Why not just rescind the NFA of 1934 and GCA 1968??????

  7. 1938 Firearms Act and Gun Control Act of 1968 both got to go. After that, the BATFE is a moot point.

What part of "Shall not be infringed" does Washington DC not understand?

  8. Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms should be the name of a convenience store, not a government agency. Now that I think about, I wonder if that name is trademark protected.....

    1. Wow.
      So original.
People have only been saying that since 1934.
But thankfully, you’re here to think you’re witty and clever.

Turns out that it is...has been for a while, apparently:

It's along I-40, about 15 miles east of Kingman, AZ.

  9. The Federal government's only role in the Second Amendment is to ensure that citizens right to bear arms is not infringed by the States. Any other activity is unconstitutional.

    1. The government has been shitting all over the constitution since day one. Why would they start respecting it now?
