  1. The campaign spawned the 'COME AND TAKE IT', when Mexican forces were trying to capture a cannon previously given to the town of Gonzales, I think. The town held against the column of Mexican troops. The ensuing route was great, right up to catching Santa Ana trying to escape in women's clothes. Fucker should have been executed, but lived a long life.

  2. Sam Houston made a big mistake by allowing Santa Ana to live. He should have provided reciprocal treatment and executed Santa Ana along with his officers, half burned their bodies and let they lay. The current day cartel mestizo's act the same way. Show them no mercy.

    1. If those plans were followed through and with reenforcements they could have captured the majority of Mexico... The border would be a few miles north of Mexico City.

    2. Border would be pretty easy to defend if it was somewhere south of the Panama canal...just saying...lol...

  3. In a weird twist, Santa Ana later was the person who introduced chicle to the United States. This gives us the brand name Chiclets and is the basis of a, now, $49 billion yearly industry.
