A 42-year-old woman in Missouri will spend a decade behind bars for killing her husband of nine years, shooting him in the back of the head as he slept in their bed because she couldn’t afford to divorce him.
Once upon a time women's choice thing for killing their families, especially their husbands, was poison... They've moved up to guns, knives and automobiles.. I guess that's progress JD

A decade? Prosecutors must have been busy with more important matters.
My late beloved wife used to tell me she would never divorce me, no matter what I did. She would devote the rest of her life to making mine a living hell. Then she'd smile sweetly and say "And you know I can do it." God, I miss her.
10 years for premeditated murder? That's less than a Canadian court would have sentenced her to! Did she give even one thought to how this will mess up her daughters? Al_in_Ottawa
Wow new boyfriend didn't flip the bill for divorce papers? Cheap ain't he? His wife prob wouldn't give him the money. POS
ReplyDeleteReminds me of my wife's cousin in Tennessee. She got away with the first one.

Wonder what the sentence would have been had the hubby shot her? More than 10 years I’m guessing.
