I thought I've worked for some hard bosses before but damn.....

A Georgia man allegedly shot one of his employees in the parking lot of a McDonald’s restaurant after the two had an argument about work.

  1. We lived in Lawrenceville for thirty years. Beginning in '74 when it was just a small town in a semi-rural area. We left in '04 because the stable core of our neighborhood was leaving and strange diversity of all kinds was coming in. In that 21 years, the area has grown to such an extent that I can hardly find my way through, not that there's any real reason to be there except nostalgia.

  2. My first instinct was to say how many times do you gotta tell someone no cheese means NO CHEESE but see Wirecutter, some of us do read the articles.

  3. Had a job 40 years ago hanging sheet metal on aircraft hangers in SC. We needed to be on the roof 60ft up but there was a very thin layer of ice up there so foreman said to wait ten minutes for sunrise to melt it off. Owner of the company came around asking why we were not up there working, and was told about the ice. He pulled out a snub nosed .38 and ordered us up there. Foreman told him that he will surely shoot two or three of us but that the rest of us would beat him to death immediately thereafter. He left the job and ten minutes later we were at work.

Owner left for the day and did not come back for three weeks. He was notorious for going on multi week benders. He came back with a guy that was covered in scabs and bruises on all visible skin. Turned out the day he left the job, he got into a road rage incident with the bruised up dude. Emptied that revolver into the guys car then they both stopped and went at it physically. The owner pistol whipped the guy nearly to death I guess, panicked, then took him home and helped him recover. When he could work, he gave him a job working with us paying him double the going rate. As soon as he healed up and the bruises were gone he fired him. First and last redneck ever worked for.
