Incredible! I wear a hearing aid and a coclear implant so this means so much to me. I'm ok with what I have but knowing what that little girl is experiencing brings tears to my eyes.
When I was young I knew a kid down the street whose eyesight was so bad that around the age of four or five, his parents finally got him glasses (this was in the 60's). After looking around for a moment he looked up and asked "What's that?" He had never seen a ceiling before.

ReplyDeleteMy company gifted a pair of those to one of our employees this past Christmas. He cried. It was awesome.
