IRS drafting plans to cut as much as half of its 90,000-person workforce, sources say

WASHINGTON -- The IRS is drafting plans to cut its workforce by as much as half through a mix of layoffs, attrition and incentivized buyouts, according to two people familiar with the situation.

  1. Doesn't matter. I could write some code to track every tax payer in the US. I could automate it to send a nastygram to anyone who doesn't line up with my reported employer numbers. Further, it could have flags for anyone that made too much or little and plenty of other abnormalities. Just for shits and giggles, I could have it flag and audit 5% of any demographic. I'm not that great at coding, either. This is just how stupid the govt is by keeping all of these people around.

  2. 45,000 to be fired? I wonder what they're going to do with the 35,000 AR-15s and a couple million rounds of .223 ammo the government bought to arm all the Biden IRS hires with?

  3. Anyone remember Biden wanting to hire another 80,000?
