In WNC, in Cullowhee, NC to be specific, there was a guy who could be seen driving his riding mower from Cullowhee to Sylva and from there to Waynesville, 10 miles to Sylva and about another 18 miles to Waynesville over Balsam Gap. He was a little tetched in the head, but was mostly harmless.

Huh. I didn't know that about George Jones. He rode a lawnmower to the liquor store because his wife hid all the car keys. White Lightnin!
ReplyDeleteWonder if that's what the line about she hid hid the keys to my truck but she forgot about my old John Deere came from
DeleteDidn't know about that one either. Gonna have to study up on George.
DeleteBesides the DUI they charged him with failing to stay in the right lane & failure to fasten seatbelt.
ReplyDeleteNice Gravely zero turn, he was ridin' in stile at least! Eod1sg Ret
ReplyDeleteNot to be outdone, I intend to ride my new Bad Boy ZT Avenger down center lane on I-35 today, stylin' and profilin'. Wish me luck!

He didn't pay a toll in exchange for giving the ditches a quick haircut.
DeleteSeems like a fair exchange

Back when I lived in NC, a guy got charged with DUI while riding a horse to buy more beer.
