#1 looks like some sort of pit mix. chances are the dog was sleeping like dead on her bed. and farting too I bet. ( I had a couple of pit mix pups in the past) BUT, once said dog was awake and saw that she was scared, went into protect my owner mode. so, good boy gets fed steak tonight by owner for a job well done. she should get a gun though.
Shit like that is the reason I make sure Lisa plays with and pays plenty of attention to that asshole dog Jack. He's my dog for sure, but he's Lisa's buddy. She needs some level of protection when I'm not here because she doesn't see well enough to handle a gun, being legally blind.
One of his quirks is anytime I'm walking towards Lisa's room, he'll run past me and put himself between me and her and start barking and showing his teeth at me, and it's something I don't discourage. I give him lots of pets and praise for doing that. There's no doubt in my mind he'd do his best to maim anybody that tries to do her harm.
my Lisa used to bitch about Slim. yup. I told him to watch mommy all the time and he would lay across her legs (he was a good 110 pounds) but I never had any doubt that he would tear into anyone trying to harm her, in fact she has a picture of him gazing at her with those big brown eyes of his. and trying to go to the bathroom ? yup. damn dog broke the door lock to get in there with her. as she told me many times, when I wasn't home. he never let her out of his sight. dogs are a treasure for sure. dave in pa.
#5 ... If ducks can waddle through wet concrete, why not a Benz? #7 ... Say hello to my beagle, Sisyphus. #9 ... When "green" breaks bad. #10 ... Reminds me of those preening assholes who celebrate before they score and then get tackled at the 3 yard line.
if the intruder just wanted to steal a wide screen, he would have fled when surprised by the woman. but he chased her, no doubt intent on a little rape and murder.
I had never had a dog but in 2016 a Pit-bull who was loose on the streets of East Palo Alto came up to me. She was friendly and when I reached down and petted her, she licked my hand. ❤️ She was taken to a local shelter and I started calling them every day to see how she was doing. For the first couple of weeks things were looking okay there; everybody loved her. But she was aggressive with other dogs and they decided that she was not adoptable and put her on their kill list. 😢 💔 We had spoken about this possibility and when they called me to tell me I sprung into action. (They didn't have to call me but I'd doggedly (pun intended) requested that I be notified if this were to happen.) So I adopted Ella and for the next 2 months I took care of her. But she realized that she could chew through the fence and I wasn't able to keep her in the yard. I'd connected with someone who had Pit-bulls and was in touch with the rescue community and through my "Pit-bull sponsor" I was able to get her to a no-kill shelter where she was adopted a couple of months later. She changed my life completely and I now love Pit-bulls. So when I saw this video I smiled: It's a great counter-example for those who "dis" them and I will keep it my advocacy toolkit! I ❤️ Velvet-hippos! 🦛 -Joely
Pits can be great pets for the right person. It's usually best if there's no other pets in the house especially other dogs.. There's bad dogs in every breed, unfortunately when a pit is bad it's really bad. JD
That asshole dog Jack was good around other dogs until my neighbor up the road got a pack of Redbone hounds that he let run free. They'd gang up on Jack and attack him every chance they got, and it was always at a time when I couldn't get a clean shot at them as they were running off. Somebody finally called animal control and had them taken away, but now Jack hates other dogs.

#1 Hold him? Hell, put some holes in him.
DeleteI agree. Multiple holes will most likely keep that turd from doing it again.

Yeah, like getting served up for dinner.

DeleteIt's a sweet deal for the dog too. Any dog who isn't a total dud wants some kind of responsibility. Sounds like a real good pup.
Eh, he has his moments.

#8 I'm not a particularly fearful driver.
ReplyDeleteBut the tule fog on HWY 99 scares me real bad.
I commuted from Modesto to Tracy, an hour each way, down a rural highway for 25 years. I had a close call or two because of the tule fog.
