Those were the final two songs at two of my best friends funerals. My age and some unaddressed issues from my past make these hard to listen to sometimes. The best times for music no doubt.
Won tickets to Seger at the Forum in LA on a radio call-in many decades ago, when the air had a distinctly different flavor from basketball games. Everyone on their feet when Alto Reed jumped up on the grand piano & played "Mainstreet". Cherished memories. CC

Good tunes, but Green Grass & High Tides can't be beat.
ReplyDeleteI posted that one just a month or so ago or I would've included it.
DeleteYes, I caught that. But I just can't listen to it enough, as it came from an era when the music was truly great.
DeleteGreen Grass & High Tides is a tune I really love, like Skynyrd's Simple Man and Seger's Like A Rock. They all take me back to my youth.

The best of times. I'm thankful to have lived through them and known the people I've known. No regerts.
