Been there done that

MADISONVILLE, Ky. (WFIE) - Madisonville Police Department officials say a man is in jail after police found under the influence in a Burger King drive thru.

*****

Well, not exactly. I didn't pass out in the Burger King drive-thru back in 1982, that just happened to be the place where the cop finally caught up to me after trying to pull me over for a mile or two to arrest me for a DUI after I blew through a red light because my brakes hard-pedaled on me. The cop was cool about it, though - he laughed and joked with me the entire trip to jail. Good times.

  1. He should've gone to waffle house, he would have been welcomed there.

  2. In the day he's Mr. Natural,
At night he's a junk food junkie.

  3. Heard of a guy that pulled up to a fast food drive through and ordered a Big Mac, large fry and a coke. Waiting for his order the cops came and arrested him for DUI. Come to find out he was at a toll booth not a fast food joint.

  4. My biggest Berger King semi-criminal act was when I clogged the toilet in one about 50 years ago. It's a good thing they didn't discover I had consumed 3 Big Macs, 2 orders of fries and a strawberry shake the day before.

  5. When I was a young guy there were times we would stop to grab a bite on the way home from New Orleans There was a place called Dot's Dinner that was our usual stop, it's one of those open 24 hours places that always had fresh coffee and free refills.. Almost always somebody in our group would pass out and spill something.. They were cool about that and always welcomed us in

  6. I did pass out in a Burger King in Cleveland, Ohio, after an evening of drinking and dancing at a local Italian festival. No cops involved tho...but had my soon-to-be wife and my mother with me, so there's that. Between 1981 and 1983, somewhere around there.

  7. Hey, cut the man some slack. At least he didn't hurl a cheeseburger, causing bodily injury, like the guy in yesterday's fast food news.
