    2. re: #2, looks like blocks of ice, as for putting it in a propane tank, that's probably what they had around. You can tell that he's done this before!

    3. It's NOT a propane tank.....lid is all wrong to withstand that kind of pressure.

  3. #3 - why wouldn't the default be an automatic locking door, where the clerk has to hold a button/buzzer to let people in and out? They can try running, but BAM right into a locked door.

#4 - I've flipped kayaks, but that right there takes practice.

    1. The gold buyer I used in San Francisco was in a high end jewelry store in the financial district, and I had to show 2 types of ID just to get into the shop, and that was with an appointment. Doors were unlocked, I was admitted, door was re-locked as soon as I got in.
Nice folks, though - they assayed my gold on the spot and gave me a good price.

  5. #1 Is a better mock-up than the usual.
#6 Looks like the Franklin kite experiment. Although Franklin's kite wasn't struck, the experiment was a success.

  6. Is that a cougar? I would not play with such an animal - those claws look like they could shred your jugular in a split second, intentional or not.

  7. #9 actually happened to a friend of mine last week. He lives in Sevier County east Tennessee and was unloading his Escalade after a trip... left the door open and came back out of the house to see his car rocking back and forth. A 400 lb bear had gotten in looking for food and the door closed on it. Friend had to use the remote to open the back hatch and set off the alarm to get the bear out.

Ten thousand dollars in damages but his insurance is covering it.

  9. No, African Armoured Regiment basic training. The tanks come later after the next coup.

  10. #1. Mid 1930s films show US Army soldiers training with wooden machine gun mockups, trucks labeled "Tank" and small bags of flour used in lieu of hand grenades. For my National Guard rifle platoon I bought several 3-inch fence posts, painted them green and nailed a canvas strap to each. Viola, M72 LAWs. If your national army doesn't provide training equipment, you make your own. Another NCO in the company was a welder, and he made M21 AT and M16 AP mines. Only for training you understand.

  11. #9 - I'd have popped the door, but I would have run straight away. The guy IS wearing Capri pants though - he's prolly used to fighting bear.

  13. #1 Next year if the training budget comes through, they'll get one made of lumber...

  14. #2. 500 gallon “water buffalo”. This was your friend during camping trips with the Army. You’d use them to fill up wonderful open topped canvas bags called lister bags that you would then hang from trees. Water is very important during extended camping trips. #5 Look up Puma Messa on YouTube. Some crazy Russian has this cat for a house pet. Been keeping up with them for quite some time. Not as gay as watching cat videos. Eod1sg Ret

  15. #7 My first job was in a convenience store. Opened the cooler door while checking beer stock in the cooler. Someone had left a quart beer bottle leaning against the door on the top shelf. If fell off and I stuck my hand out and caught it by the neck. Would never be able to do that again if I tried.
