Starbucks? The far-left Starbucks? Really?

Starbucks is no longer requiring employees to get vaccinated or submit to weekly testing, following the U.S. Supreme Court's rejection last week of President Joe Biden's vaccine and testing requirement for large businesses.

*****

Of course they had to throw this out there as well to make sure that we all know they're still 'woke':

Starbucks also told workers this week that they have to wear 3-ply medical masks at work, following the CDC's updated guidance. Employees can also wear N95, KN95 or KF94 masks, but can no longer wear cloth masks (unless they cover medical masks).

  1. I've been to a Starbucks once in my life and was not impressed. The coffee was so so, prices were high and the overall atmosphere was ok. That was about 15 years ago so obviously it wasn't something I was going to do again, and this was in Alabama way before the woke nonsense.
There was a little mom and pop coffee shop that I preferred to use, Carp Diem if I remember correctly on Old Shell in Mobile.

    1. I went a local one when they first invaded my city 25 or so years ago. Snooty employees and burnt coffee, I think they over roast the beans. I ordered a large with creme and one sugar. The snooty employee says "Oh, you mean a Venti" I said "I don't know what Venti means. We speak English in this country. So if Venti means large, then yes, otherwise I want a large coffee with cream and one sugar." He literally stuck his nose in the air and made some disapproving noise, but did give me what I wanted. I took one sip and threw the rest in the trash. It was that bad.

    2. Damn Nemo, maybe mine was a fluke or maybe they weren't using starbuck beans, lol. I know it wasn't worth going back for more

  2. So what does the Starbucks pres. say to his employees that already took the jab because he was going along with the mandate up until the SJC overruled it.

    Sorry. Hope you don't die."

  3. Apparently threats of boycott sobered Schultz&Co up. I never heard a peep about it until Starbux announced, and some Twits™ took credit.

Is a boycott threat all it takes?

  4. What is it with all these idiotic people? The CDC - along with numerous highly respected actual swear-to-God scientists - has already admitted that masks do not work, have never worked, and cannot stop a virus. The doc has been publicly available for some time now. Don't these folks comprehend the time-honored American philosophy of payback? I just don't understand . . . unless CEO is now a synonym for stupid.

  5. I love coffee and my family gives me Starbucks gift cards. Actually I love caffeine, and with the exception of Pete's you aren't going to get more caffeine per oz than Starbucks. I ask for a large Pikes and that's what I get. I've never had anyone try to be snooty or otherwise correct what I ask for. Maybe the barristas get training in caffeine derangement syndrome.

Around me no one wears a mask except the employees complying with their corporate mandates. I feel bad for them. Any idea of the loss of performance of an N95 worn for 8 hours continuously? I work a part time job where I have to wear a mask so I try to tip well the poor bastards that are there day in and day out.

Just one question, why has it taken 2 years to figure out cloth masks are worthless? Asking for a friend.
