"But... but... but I have a shiny badge!"

NEW YORK STATE FAIRGROUNDS (WSYR-TV) — Off-duty police officers will no longer be allowed to carry their weapons while attending the New York State Fair, police departments were notified Tuesday in an email obtained by NewsChannel 9.

Guns aren’t allowed on the fairgrounds for most people, but an exception has been historically made for police officers who show badges upon entry.

  1. It looks like they changed that policy pretty quick. I guess the cops threatened that they wouldn't provide any security at all if the off-duty, drunk cops couldn't carry a weapon as well.

  2. Open door policy for potential shooters, no doubt intended by the PTB to help increase mayhem and panic amongst the unwashed and unwanted.

  3. "God forbid there's an active shooter or other incident...." That can't happen, the fairgrounds has banned firearms.

  6. Let's follow this story to it's logical conclusion...I have no problem banning off duty cops from carrying at any locale that prohibits it's citizens from carrying. I have no problem with banning on-duty cops (LEOs) from carrying firearms where normal citizens are not allowed to carry, eg: PO, courts, state/federal buildings, some churches, hospitals, SCHOOLS (they don't seem to remember why they have them while on school property anyway), and private property (where they seem to shoot dogs and innocent citizens at a much higher rate than criminals). I wonder how long the badged orcs would remain badged without guns?? Good question you say! I bet not very fvcking long if they were restricted like regular citizens...see where I'm going with this? We don't need coproaches if we choose to be armed everywhere and can function as our own responsible first responders. Constitutional sheriffs are fine, but we've let this outrageous, low IQ, support the blue, LEO/military shit run rampant far too long.

    1. Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and to remove all doubt.

    3. Please elaborate Abe. Do tell me, specifically, how this gentleman's comment is foolish. Make sure to speak loudly though, it's a long way to Uvalde.

  7. Why don't the put up a sign, like they do at all public schools, that reads "Gun Free Zone". I'm sure that will prevent any nut from going on to the Fair Grounds with mass murder intent.
