"Meat's meat, Pilgrim."

CLACKAMAS, Ore. — An Oregon cleaning worker was killed when he fell into a running blender at a meat-processing plant, the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office said.
Deputy Nate Thompson identified the worker as Hugo Avalos-Chanon, 41, of Portland. He worked for DCS Sanitation Management, a cleaning company that has a contract with Interstate Meat Distributors.
Paramedics and sheriff’s deputies were called around 11:45 p.m. Friday, after Avalos-Chanon was found entangled in the machinery. Another worker had hit an emergency stop button, but it was too late, Thompson said. Firefighters returned the following day to dismantle the machine and remove the body.
Dr. Cliff Young, a deputy state medical examiner, said Avalos-Chanon died from “blunt-force injuries and chopping wounds.”

And we all know what happened to the Jews, right?

I swear by all that's Holy, this is an actual letter to the editor in the local smut sheet this morning. I damned near choked on my ham sandwich when I read it.
And no, this was not a parody letter, I've seen similar drivel from the leftist author before.
Pay particular attention to the first sentence in the 3rd paragraph.
And this man votes.....

As a part-time writer and author I've always thought it important to check my facts before publication. From reading letters to The Bee, it appears that some writers do not share this concern. A recent contribution, written by a gun owner opposed to gun control, repeats the claim that Adolf Hitler bragged that with full gun registration in Germany "the world would follow."

Unfortunately, the statement, usually cited as being made in 1935, is total fantasy — there was no German gun registration law passed in 1935. The gun control laws that existed in Germany were put in place at the end of World War I, prior to the Nazi takeover (these laws were passed to keep guns out of the hands of Communists and, ironically, Nazis).

Under Hitler, previous gun restrictions were lifted for everyone except Jews. As has been said, "you are entitled to your own opinions but you are not entitled to your own 'facts.' " Given the emotional nature of the gun debate, facts should be cited in support of a particular position, not made-up and fictional nonsense.

Wirecutter - a lifetime or two ago.

Me and my tight brother Chuck, probably about 1982. I was barely out of the Army, he had gotten out of the Navy about the same time. I was working a day job and then working for his dad on the ranch weekends doing cowboy work to make ends meet.
Typical Friday night, a shitload of people over at his house on the other side of his folk's property getting fucked up. The next morning there'd be so many people passed out on the floor you couldn't move without stepping on somebody.
This picture must've been taken early in the evening seeing as we're both upright.

Free targets for everyone!!!

Thousands of unmanned aircraft systems – commonly known as drones – could be buzzing around in U.S. airspace by 2015 because of a law passed last year, aiding in police investigations, scientific research and border control, but also raising safety and privacy concerns among some lawmakers and advocacy groups.
Already, drones are in use to count sea lions in Alaska, to conduct weather and environmental research and to monitor drug trafficking across our borders. In fact, 327 drones already have been licensed by the Federal Aviation Administration to fly over U.S. soil.

Philly residents told how to 'shelter in place' by the City

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – During last week’s events in Boston, residents were told to “shelter in place,” which raises the question, would you know what to do if a similar order was issued in Philadelphia?
In the Emergency Management section of the City of Philadelphia’s website, there are now some guidelines for residents to follow.
First and foremost, the city says residents should be prepared to shelter in place for at least three days, which means stocking supplies like medications, food, batteries, drinking water, flashlights and more inside of an emergency kit.
And if a shelter in place order is issued, you and your family should go indoors immediately with all doors and windows locked and your fireplace damper closed.
MORE WTF HERE

*****

Okay, if you have to have the City, State or federal government tell you how to shelter in place and what you need to keep on hand for such an event, you're fucked right out the gate.
You need to have all that shit on hand already. Lots and lots of it. And let's not forget ammo. Again, lots and lots of it. If you're thinking maybe one or two days before Uncle Sammy and Big Sis comes to rescue your worthless ass, you need to think about Katrina or Sandy. It maybe weeks or even months.
The last paragraph is what I thought was funny - Lock all your doors and windows. I mean, I agree wholeheartedly with it but for different reasons. But why is the City recommending it? For protection against looters or the cops and National Guard when they come to kick in your doors searching for suspects or weapons that you may have on hand to protect yourself?

‘I’M GOING TO GRAB YOUR BABY, AND DON’T RESIST’: COPS BARGE INTO CALI. PARENTS’ HOME, TAKE THEIR BABY AFTER THEY SEEK 2ND MEDICAL OPINION — AND IT’S ON VIDEO

A California couple had their five-month-old baby “snatched” by police after they took the infant to get a second opinion on a medical procedure, they claim.
Anna and Alex Nikolayev are described as loving parents who took their baby, who has a heart murmur, to Sutter Memorial Hospital in Sacramento when he started exhibiting flu-like symptoms.

The family has undergone plenty of doctor visits in the last five months for the their son’s heart, and were unsettled by the treatment he was receiving. At one point, Anna says, a nurse came in and started giving the baby, named Sammy, medicine. When she asked what it was the nurse allegedly replied, “I don’t know.”
“I’m like, you’re working as a nurse, and you don’t even know what to give to my baby…?” Anna said in an interview with ABC’s local affiliate, News10/KXTV. They later found out that medicine was antibiotics, which Anna claims the doctor told her Sammy shouldn’t have received.

After doctors started discussing heart surgery, the Nikolayevs decided they wanted a second opinion. They weren’t categorically opposed to the procedure, but they wanted a different doctor. “If we got the one mistake after another, I don’t want to have my baby have surgery in the hospital where I don’t feel safe,” Anna explained.
