Ruth Bader Ginsburg Goes From Leftist Hero To Has-Been In One Interview

Ruth Bader Ginsburg is about to lose her feminist card. Ironically, it’s for departing from her usual legal schtick to reinforce that what the law says matters, instead of giving authorities license to do whatever the heck they want.

On Monday, Ginsburg reinforced previous assertions that the legal deadline for passing a 1970s and 1980s constitutional amendment to ignore sex distinctions has passed.

PEACE OFFICERS MEMORIAL DAY AND POLICE WEEK, 2013

- - - - - - -

BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA

A PROCLAMATION

Day after day, police officers in every corner of America suit up, put on the badge, and carry out their sworn duty to protect and serve. They step out the door every morning without considering bravery or heroics. They stay focused on meeting their responsibilities. They concentrate on keeping their neighborhoods safe and doing right by their fellow officers. And with quiet courage, they help fulfill the demanding yet vital task of shielding our people from harm. It is work that deserves our deepest respect -- because when darkness and danger would threaten the peace, our police officers are there to step in, ready to lay down their lives to protect our own.

This week, we pay solemn tribute to men and women who did. Setting aside fear and doubt, these officers made the ultimate sacrifice to preserve the rule of law and the communities they loved. They heard the call to serve and answered it; braved the line of fire; charged toward the danger. Our hearts are heavy with their loss, and on Peace Officers Memorial Day, our Nation comes together to reflect on the legacy they left us.

As we mark this occasion, let us remember that we can do no greater service to those who perished than by upholding what they fought to protect. That means doing everything we can to make our communities safer. It means putting cops back on the beat and supporting them with the tools and training they need. It means getting weapons of war off our streets and keeping guns out of the hands of criminals -- common-sense measures that would reduce gun violence and help officers do their job safely and effectively.

Together, we can accomplish those goals. So as we take this time to honor law enforcement in big cities and small towns all across our country, let us join them in pursuit of a brighter tomorrow. Our  officers serve and sacrifice on our behalf every day, and as citizens, we owe them nothing less than our full and lasting support.

By a joint resolution approved October 1, 1962, as amended (76 Stat. 676), and by Public Law 103-322, as amended (36 U.S.C. 136-137), the President has been authorized and requested to designate May 15 of each year as "Peace Officers Memorial Day" and the week in which it falls as "Police Week."

NOW, THEREFORE, I, BARACK OBAMA, President of the United States of America, do hereby proclaim May 15, 2013, as Peace Officers Memorial Day and May 12 through May 18, 2013, as Police Week. I call upon all Americans to observe these events with appropriate ceremonies and activities. I also call on Governors of the United States and the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, officials of the other territories subject to the jurisdiction of the United States, and appropriate officials of all units of government, to direct that the flag be flown at half-staff on Peace Officers Memorial Day. I further encourage all Americans to display the flag at half-staff from their homes and businesses on that day.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand this
tenth day of May, in the year of our Lord two thousand thirteen, and of the Independence of the United States of America the two hundred and thirty-seventh.

BARACK OBAMA

5.56 ammo

John was kind enough to send in a link for some 5.56 for me to post

http://www.gunsammodepot.com/223-5-56/

Like he said, we've seen better prices in the past but what the fuck, nowadays you gotta take what you can get.

Fucking Post Office.....

Yeah man, so I'm trying to keep a low profile nowadays after moving due to trouble and threats from shitheads like Firestone, PETAphiles and other assorted liberals, bitches and punks that feel like I should give a fuck about what they think. I mean, if it was just me I wouldn't trip on it but I've got Lisa to worry about too and there's no telling what unstable people might do. Anyways, we talked and I promised that I wouldn't disclose our new location, the problem being the amount of mail and packages that I swap around with other Patriots but seeing as I've never actually met these folks it would be very easy for the new location to get out, you understand.
The solution of course was to get a PO box for that and I might as well get it in Ceres seeing as I still pass through there on the way home, plus I still do a fair amount of time there shopping and visiting and shit. Perfect - saves gas as far as trips to the post office and again, lets me hide out and feel sneaky and shit.
So anyways, I had to mail a package today so I figured that I might as well get it over with. While I was there I asked to rent a PO box. The clerk hands me an application and then tells me I have to submit 2 forms of ID, 2 utility bills to prove residency and 44 bucks US.
What the fuck? Last time I rented a box I just had to show an ID. What the fuck is this proof of residency shit? I never had to do that before - granted, it's been a few years since I got a PO box but still.... you don't even need proof of residency to vote or work in this country.
So I mail the package, go back home, dig through a bunch of files and find two bills from the old place and drive my ass back to the Ceres post office in the 90 degree heat.
HE DIDN'T EVEN LOOK AT THE FUCKING BILLS, MAN. He went over the application, checked my CDL and work ID and glanced at the hand that I had the folded up bills in. They could've been my truck registration and insurance papers for all he knew.

Yeah, so the upshot is that I got the box. You can now mail me shit like donations, poison pen letters and dried meats as well as payments for items listed at the Patriot Swap Shop at the address in the Bullet-Bone-Bail Fund donation box in my sidebar.

Fuck ICE, DHS, and every other fed. Oh yeah, Obama too.

The immigration reform measure the Senate began debating yesterday would create a national biometric database of virtually every adult in the U.S., in what privacy groups fear could be the first step to a ubiquitous national identification system.
Buried in the more than 800 pages of the bipartisan legislation (.pdf)  is language mandating the creation of the innocuously-named “photo tool,” a massive federal database administered by the Department of Homeland Security and containing names, ages, Social Security numbers and photographs of everyone in the country with a driver’s license or other state-issued photo ID.
Employers would be obliged to look up every new hire in the database to verify that they match their photo.
This piece of the Border Security, Economic Opportunity, and Immigration Modernization Act is aimed at curbing employment of undocumented immigrants. But privacy advocates fear the inevitable mission creep, ending with the proof of self being required at polling places, to rent a house, buy a gun, open a bank account, acquire credit, board a plane or even attend a sporting event or log on the internet. Think of it as a government version of Foursquare, with Big Brother cataloging every check-in.

When Obamacare’s individual mandate takes effect in 2014, all Americans who file income tax returns must complete an additional IRS tax form.
The new form will require disclosure of a taxpayer’s personal identifying health information in order to determine compliance with the Affordable Care Act’s individual mandate.
As confirmed by IRS testimony to the tax-writing House Committee on Ways and Means, “taxpayers will file their tax returns reporting their health insurance coverage, and/or making a payment”.
So why will the Obama IRS require your personal identifying health information?
Simply put, there is no way for the IRS to enforce Obamacare’s individual mandate without such an invasive reporting scheme.  Every January, health insurance companies across America will send out tax documents to each insured individual.  This tax document—a copy of which will be furnished to the IRS—must contain sufficient information for taxpayers to prove that they purchased qualifying health insurance under Obamacare.

My views on the Benghazi hearings

I'm sorry but I just can't get excited over the recent furor about Benghazi. Yes, it was a tragedy that never should have happened and we all knew that the stories and excuse making when it happened back in September of last year was bullshit. We knew (and I'm talking about not only you folks but the general public) that it was terrorism from the git-go. We knew that the government failed the Ambassador and his staff. We knew that it was a very weak cover-up when they tried to blame it on a video.
So what's new?
Nothing. Not a damned thing. The only thing these hearings are accomplishing is filling in the blanks to a story that we already knew.

Does anybody really expect anything to come of these hearings? I mean, seriously? Do any of you think that it's going to 'bring down' the Obama administration, or even shake it up? I don't.
Even if the hearings fully determine that the government was grossly negligent, nothing will come of it. That arrogant son of a bitch who's President right now will not be punished, his former Secretary of State doesn't give a damn, and if anything, anything at all happens to anybody it will happen to whoever occupies the lowest rung on the ladder. Shit truly does roll downhill.

Bomb dogs (or lack of) at the Boston Marathon

Hey Ken,

It's been a couple weeks now since I bought up the issue of the lack of bomb dogs at the Boston Marathon and it's not that I'm obsessed with it but, ever since then I've been viewing every picture of the Marathon Start and Finish line I can get my hands on, yet and I'll be damned if I can find ANY definitive photos showing a dog anywhere at the Marathon. There are tons of photos now showing dogs post event as people exit Boston (day late and a dollar short) but, nadda of bomb dogs at the event. The University Mobile Cross Country Coach, Ali Stevenson participated in the Marathon and gave an interview statement saying something to the effect that he saw "bomb dogs" on roofs and at the start/finish line..... he'd never seen so many bomb dogs before. This ***singular*** statement has been almost universally plugged in to the post Marathon analysis dialog but, IMO it doesn't "wash" with the photo evidence out there. How the hell can a cross country track coach identify "bomb dogs" on a roof... from the street below?... he must be one helluva dog expert! There are tons of photos of the start and finish line from media and people in attendance and I've yet to see a single photo with a dog in it. It's like his statement was canned/scripted and purposefully interjected into the dialog.... something doesn't fit here. But then, there's A LOT that still doesn't "fit" the template that's being spoon fed the American public on this incident. I guess I shouldn't be so nosey eh? Hey, WTF do I know???
Thx for the good blog...stay safe :)

My thoughts on The Armed March on DC this coming 4th of July

Bad idea for several reasons.

1) No clear objective or goal - they're doing it to show they won't cower anymore but the organizer says if they meet resistance they'll disperse. If you go home when the Powers-that-wanna be tell you to go home, you just acknowledged that they're the boss.

2) Bad idea tactically - you don't march into an area armed where it's illegal to do so if you're outgunned and outnumbered.

3) While the feds may not arrest everyone there at the march, they will probably wait until they've dispersed. It's easier to arrest people individually than in a mob and I spend enough time looking over my shoulder as it is.

4) All it takes is one idiot to open fire and the rest is history - literally.

5) The group will probably have more federal infiltrators and informants than Patriots. There's no way to validate everybody with on open invitation on Facebook.

I could go on and on about why I think this is a bad idea but I think you get it. No, I won't be there and I personally think anybody that does intend on going should really think it through. However, if you're set on going, that's your business. I won't think any less of any Patriot that makes that decision for himself - A man's gotta do what a man's gotta do.

Throwaway Phones 101

Take a few minutes and read the post below this one.

If you absolutely positively must discuss something sensitive over the phone, at least use common sense when and how you do it.

Go to the Radio Shack (preferably in another town) and buy a cheap phone and minutes paying cash. Never ever use any payment method that can be traced back to you.
Do not load any numbers into it.
Do not use it close to your house.
Do not use it unless you're moving - you know, doing 70 mph.
Do not use it more than once.
Use your throwaway to only call other throwaways whose users are following the same precautions. (Thanks to OhioDude for reminding me of that)
When you make your ONE call, remove the SIM card and destroy both the card and phone, then dispose of both of them in separate locations.

Make 'em work for it.

One more time: Shut. The. Fuck. Up.

The real capabilities and behavior of the US surveillance state are almost entirely unknown to the American public because, like most things of significance done by the US government, it operates behind an impenetrable wall of secrecy. But a seemingly spontaneous admission this week by a former FBI counterterrorism agent provides a rather startling acknowledgment of just how vast and invasive these surveillance activities are.
Over the past couple days, cable news tabloid shows such as CNN's Out Front with Erin Burnett have been excitingly focused on the possible involvement in the Boston Marathon attack of Katherine Russell, the 24-year-old American widow of the deceased suspect, Tamerlan Tsarnaev. As part of their relentless stream of leaks uncritically disseminated by our Adversarial Press Corps, anonymous government officials are claimingthat they are now focused on telephone calls between Russell and Tsarnaev that took place both before and after the attack to determine if she had prior knowledge of the plot or participated in any way.
On Wednesday night, Burnett interviewed Tim Clemente, a former FBI counterterrorism agent, about whether the FBI would be able to discover the contents of past telephone conversations between the two. He quite clearly insisted that they could:
BURNETT: Tim, is there any way, obviously, there is a voice mail they can try to get the phone companies to give that up at this point. It's not a voice mail. It's just a conversation. There's no way they actually can find out what happened, right, unless she tells them?
CLEMENTE: "No, there is a way. We certainly have ways in national security investigations to find out exactly what was said in that conversation. It's not necessarily something that the FBI is going to want to present in court, but it may help lead the investigation and/or lead to questioning of her. We certainly can find that out.
BURNETT: "So they can actually get that? People are saying, look, that is incredible.
CLEMENTE: "No, welcome to America. All of that stuff is being captured as we speak whether we know it or like it or not."
"All of that stuff" - meaning every telephone conversation Americans have with one another on US soil, with or without a search warrant - "is being captured as we speak".

How America Burned While Feinstein Fiddled

Along with bombs and bombers, guns seem to be all the media wants to talk about these days. Death is sexy to our miscreant media, especially when people are killed on purpose. And when that happens, it’s all the newspapers and news stations will print and broadcast, in turn making these events appear worse than they are in reality.

To understand this, one need only look at the difference in coverage between the Texas fertilizer plant explosionwhich killed at least 14 confirmed people and injured 200 more at the time of writing this, versus the coverage of the Boston Marathon bombingwhich only killed three and injured a hundred others. Texas was on TV for a day, tops, while we’re still hearing about Boston and will for many weeks to come.

Where the media really didn’t care too much about the Texas incident, once a kid was killed at a race, the Boston bombing is now a foil for everything from gun control to immigration in the wake of Sandy Hook, with both sides of the political spectrum using it against the other. What about Texas, you ask? Nothing but crickets chirping from the mainstream media at the moment. Recent studies have shown that people who consume large amounts of mass media often feel more insecure, are less informed, or can’t distinguish between news and what passes as news, what with all the opinion you’ll find in news today.

Hahahahahaha....... not funny.

The Obamessiah addressed the graduating class of the Ohio State University today and started off his speech with a joke:

PRESIDENT OBAMA: Unfortunately, you've grown up hearing voices that incessantly warn of government as nothing more than some separate, sinister entity that's at the root of all our problems. Some of these same voices also do their best to gum up the works. They'll warn that tyranny always lurking just around the corner. You should reject these voices. Because what they suggest is that our brave, and creative, and unique experiment in self-rule is somehow just a sham with which we can't be trusted.

We have never been a people who place all our faith in government to solve our problems. We shouldn't want to. But we don't think the government is the source of all our problems, either. Because we understand that this democracy is ours. And as citizens, we understand that it's not about what America can do for us, it's about what can be done by us, together, through the hard and frustrating but absolutely necessary work of self-government. And class of 2013, you have to be involved in that process.

Fucking pussies

Snow, rain and gloom of night might not slow Brownsville mailmen down — but gangbangers sure will.
Postmen are too scared to deliver letters and packages to one of Brooklyn’s most crime-ravaged neighborhoods, a US Postal Service worker told The Post yesterday.
“The neighborhood is bad,” the worker said outside the Brownsville Station Post Office on Bristol Street. “I wouldn’t want to go into those buildings.”
Snail mail that goes undelivered finds its way back to the post office, where it can stew for several days until a carrier decides to deliver it — or residents are forced to come pick it up.

About 25 years ago I had this Plott/Coonhound bear dog that was forever breaking out of his kennel and absolutely loved to chase the mailmen down. It ended up that I had to go to the post office to get my mail.
The funny part was, I lived out in the sticks and they never even had to get out of their little buggy, but the dog would wait in ambush in the thickets next to the mailbox and then scare the fuck out of them when they reached out to put the mail in the box. Then he'd chase them about 100 yards down the road as they scattered my mail as they went.
He wouldn't do it every time, but just often enough to where they finally said 'Fuck this shit Cowboy, no more shitting on ourselves. Now you come to us.'

I don't see the IRS......

Yeah, good luck with that.

The federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives said Wednesday that it is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of those responsible for stealing 559 pounds of explosives last month near Red Lodge.
The theft happened sometime in April when thieves broke into a U.S. Forest Service storage bunker about two miles south of Red Lodge, said Brad Beyersdorf, an ATF spokesman.
Items stolen included emulsion-type explosives, explosive cast boosters and detonating cord.
“The theft of explosives is a top investigative priority for ATF,” said Ken Bray, the agency’s resident agent in charge in Montana. “We are asking for the public’s help in our effort to apprehend and convict those responsible. We are confident that someone can help identify a suspect and we encourage them to call us.”
