Meh. Your kid's a lightweight

I absolutely loved living in Colorado.

Family-oriented Pueblo is the state’s best-kept secret. Lake Pueblo, Pueblo Mountain Park and Devil’s Canyon are perfect places to hike. We lived in an old Craftsman home in the historic district, with a beautiful garden and wonderful neighbors. I felt like I was living in a dream.

And then legalized marijuana came, and everything changed. It has taken nearly a decade for Colorado’s elected leaders to understand the damage pot is doing to our children. I saw it years ago.

*****

Coming from California, I can say that legalization did nothing to increase the availability nor the potency of weed. That shit was powerful and everywhere already.
What it has done was to increase the illegal and destructive grows on public and private lands, causing some major headaches between chemical dumps, garbage and water theft among other things.

US hasn't seen worker anger like this in decades

Workers are saying enough is enough.

And many of them are either hitting the picket lines or quitting their jobs as a result.

The changing dynamics of the U.S. labor market, which has put employees rather than employers in the driver's seat in a way not seen for decades, is allowing unions to flex their muscles.

Democrats Make It Impossible to Have Empathy

Empathy is an important human emotion, but sometimes people keep repeating the same stupid mistakes that make it nearly impossible to continue to give a damn about them. Someone suffering severe headaches, for example, can cause a serious empathetic response from people, but that goes away quickly, and likely forever, if you discover that person continually hits themselves in the head with two-by-four. There comes a certain point when any emotion – empathy, sympathy, whatever – becomes counterproductive. When it comes to Democrat voter groups, I’m long past that point.

A comparison of official Government reports suggest the Fully Vaccinated are developing Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome

Latest UK PHE Vaccine Surveillance Report figures on Covid cases show that doubly vaccinated 40-70 year olds have lost 40% of their immune system capability compared to unvaccinated people. Their immune systems are deteriorating at around 5% per week (between 2.7% and 8.7%). If this continues then 30-50 year olds will have 100% immune system degradation, zero viral defence by Christmas and all doubly vaccinated people over 30 will have lost their immune systems by March next year.

Commentary: The Steady Decline of Our Once-Beloved Military

The highest echelon of the U.S. military is becoming dysfunctional.

There are too many admirals and generals for the size of the current U.S. military. It now boasts three times the number of four-star admirals and generals than we had during World War II—when the country was in an existential war for survival and when, by 1945, our active military personnel was almost nine times larger than the current armed forces.

Supply Chain Issues: ‘There Really Are Problems Everywhere,’ Even For Small Companies

(CBS Baltimore) — Why are the shelves at the local grocery store always partly empty? Why do deliveries take so much longer than they used to? Why is everything more expensive? The short answer is the supply chain. The long answer is not that simple.

It goes without saying that the once-in-a-lifetime COVID pandemic has exacerbated existing issues. That includes a shortage of workers along the path that products take from the factory to a consumer’s doorstep, creating multiple bottlenecks in a system that depends on timeliness to function, just as demand has drastically increased for those products.

Vickers "K" - For Aircraft and the SAS/Long Range Desert Group

The Vickers "K" Class gun - also known as the Vickers Gas Operated - was the gun the Vickers company thought would replace the heavy water-cooled Vickers and allow them to remain primary machine gun supplier to the British army. The design actually came from the French designer Berthier, who has expected it to be adopted by the French Army - when it wasn't he sold his rights and patents to the Vickers company. Much to their surprise, in British light machine gun trials of the 1930s it was beaten by the Czech ZB-26! So the Vickers company pivoted, and decided to up the gun's rate of fire and offer it to the air force as an observer's gun to replace the Lewis. In this it was successful (and it would also be adopted as an infantry gun by the Indian Army).

The Vickers K is probably best known for its use by the SAS/LRDG raiders in North Africa. For them, the high rate of fire was ideal, and the guns were available from disabled aircraft (and not easily converted to an infantry configuration).

Some Credit Unions Already Losing Accounts over Democrats’ Plan to Expand IRS Tracking

Organizations representing community banks and credit unions are blasting the Democrats' commitment to expanding IRS reporting requirements, calling the proposal a government overreach that would require financial institutions to spend more money on compliance costs at the expense of products and services for their members.

San Diego County Considering Further Restrictions on Home-Built Firearms

U.S.A. -(AmmoLand.com)- On October 19th, the San Diego County Board of Supervisors will consider a proposal to direct the drafting of an ordinance to further restrict the centuries-old practice of home-building firearms for personal use.

This proposal calls for the drafting of an ordinance to go beyond existing California law to define “’ghost guns,’ precursor parts for such guns and unserialized parts and guns,” ban the possession of unserialized parts for building firearms, prohibit making unserialized firearms or precursor parts specifically by 3D printing, and impose one-size-fits-all requirements for firearm storage.

WILMINGTON (CBSLA) — With the ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach now running 24/7 operations, a new problem has occurred. Many of the shipping containers that spent weeks onboard ships waiting to be unloaded are now being dumped in nearby neighborhoods once they’re emptied.

Whoops, didn't even consider traffic, did they?

The supply chain crisis has continued to affect US port cities with trucks hauling cargo containers remain backed up in Los Angeles traffic and Savannah tourists flocking to see cargo ships stuck outside the city's port.

The cities of Los Angeles and Savannah have some of the country's busiest ports as goods and products, or lack thereof, are shipped there for delivery.

A neighborhood in LA has been backed up with delivery trucks throughout the day waiting for the jammed up cargo ships to unload, much to the dismay of residents trying to maneuver around the huge vehicles.

Commentary: Solving the Supply Chain Problem Requires Less Government, Not More

During the latter part of the 20th Century, Americans became accustomed to hearing stories of shortages of basic items in the Soviet Union. The metaphor of “waiting in line for bread” came to signify anything where a state-managed effort led to the inefficient and ineffective distribution of consumer goods and services. The state-generated supply chain problems were the butt of jokes for comedians everywhere.

Lawsuits demand unproven ivermectin for COVID patients

NEW YORK (AP) — Mask rules, vaccination mandates and business shutdowns have all landed in the courts during the COVID-19 outbreak, confronting judges with questions of science and government authority. Now they are increasingly being asked to weigh in on the deworming drug ivermectin.

Commentary: Biden Priorities Put Citizens, Not National Enemies, in the Crosshairs

When 13 U.S. service members were killed by suicide bombers as American citizens were abandoned in Afghanistan last August—in perhaps the most ill planned military operation since our efforts in Somalia which resulted in naked U.S. servicemen being dragged through the streets of Mogadishu—it should have given us a clue about the Biden Administration’s priorities. Much as the Somalian disaster led to a massive influx of Somali immigrants, which is changing the makeup of the Midwest, we can soon expect a surge in Afghan immigration.

White House not stolen, but bought with Zuckerberg’s money

Nearly a year has passed since the 2020 election, yet there has not been a clear, satisfactory answer to the central mystery: How did a dull, declining Joe Biden manage to get more than 81 million votes and win the presidency?

After all, Biden spent most of the pandemic-laced campaign in his Delaware basement and his appearances were marked by sparse crowds and signs he had lost more than a step. Yet he flipped five states Hillary Clinton lost in 2016, including Georgia and Arizona, and racked up 306 electoral votes to Donald Trump’s 232.

Righteousness + Force in America: The Trap of Righteous Activism Coupled with State Power

There are two ways of getting things done: persuasion or coercion. You either convince someone of the value of your ideas or you hold a (literal or metaphorical) gun to their head. The latter has been the norm throughout human history. Most of what we value about the contemporary West is a shift toward the former occurring over the last 250 years or so.

However, there’s an important difference between the despotisms of old and coercive governments in the modern era: modern-day tyrants frame themselves as the righteous side in any conflict.

During a House Oversight Hearing on counterterrorism on September 29, Mace asked Timothy Langan, assistant director of the FBI’s Counterterrorism Division about the Bureau’s approach to criminality associated with Antifa and Black Lives Matter. Man, both of those homes are real dumps. We're not a wealthy county but most folks take pride in the appearance of their homes - yards are maintained and houses are kept up. Our sheriff, the guy being interviewed in both videos, is a Constitutional sheriff and a pretty nice guy who I met when I attended a couple of County Board of Supervisors' meetings when we got the 2A Sanctuary measure passed, and he's a hands on kind of guy - anytime there's a call involving more than one of his deputies, he's there, day or night.
