HOUSTON - A Houston woman was arrested and charged with after shooting her boyfriend in the leg Thursday night, according to the Houston Police Department.

According to police, Dugas told officers her boyfriend had assaulted her, but surveillance video showed her chasing down the man and shooting him twice, striking him once in the leg.
"they believe the man may be mentally unstable or was possibly intoxicated"
Residents in a Hollywood Hills neighborhood are on edge after a man has been caught on video trespassing in the yards of people’s homes.
Residents said videos caught on doorbell cameras show the man acting erratically, and they are concerned he might be dangerous. He has been knocking on doors at all hours of the day and night, yelling obscenities and even engaging in lewd behavior, neighbors tell KTLA.

Gavin Newsom admits California's homeless situation is out of control but blames Republicans
Democratic governor Gavin Newsom has admitted that California's homelessness crisis is 'a disgrace' - but tried to blame Republicans for creating the situation.
The Golden State is facing an opioid-fueled vagrancy epidemic, with cities like San Francisco and San Diego besieged with encampments and businesses shutting up shop.
Newsom was grilled on the subject by Fox News host Sean Hannity after the latest blow to San Francisco's downtown as Westfield stopped making mortgage payments on its massive mall due to crime and tanking sales.
The U.K. Just Banned Chemical Castration For Kids. America Should Do The Same And More
The United Kingdom’s primary government health system will no longer hand out castration drugs to children like candy because “there is not enough evidence to support their safety or clinical effectiveness as a routinely available treatment.”
The Bigger Issues
The crisis of conscience is what kills the right every time. They want to win, but they don’t want to do anything dishonorable in the process. They won’t take a stint in jail to win. They won’t intentionally inflict emotional or psychiatric pain on another person, even if that person is intent on inflicting the same sort of damage upon them. In one way, it makes a person proud to be among such fine people, but if that leads to drag queen story hour with children, it takes the shine off of that pride.
The left suffer from no such crisis. This is not to say they don’t have a conscience, but that they see over the horizon of their immediate actions, or are, more accurately, willing to accept that vision, however clumsily and fraudulently presented, as a cause worthy of soiling their hands.

Commentary: As Toxic as It Is Effective, Governments Wield Fear to Control and Manipulate People
People are excited thinking about being able to live in alternative universes. Unbeknownst to them, they already do – and have been for most of their lives. Especially those born after the era when we wore our Texas Instrument calculators on our belts (our slide rules were put on the shelf to be oddities to show our children how we calculated in school) and built computers we bought in parts. Now, people who would have trouble putting a slot-car together can go to the Himalayas, try on clothes from their favorite store, play video games – all the while lying on a recliner in their basement.
There is reality – the actual events as they happened. And there is what has long been, spun as reality, i.e., pharma-phantasmagoria, genders/sexes of more than two, and myriads of other factoids dressed as facts. All built upon the biggest lie fed to a now well-programmed public – manmade global warming. And virtual reality rules over factual reality.

Mason County War
The Mason County War, commonly known as the Hoodoo War, was one of a number of feuds that developed over the stealing and killing of cattle. As early as June 25, 1874, Wilson Hey, presiding justice of Mason County, wrote Governor Richard Coke requesting that troops be stationed in the county to help deal with cattle rustling. Since many of the settlers of the county were Germans, there began to be a perception that they were pitted against the American-born residents, and neither group was able to get protection from the cattle thieves. The trouble began seriously when the sheriff, John Clark, jailed nine men on charges of stealing cattle. Before a trial was held, four of them escaped, but a mob of about forty men took the remaining five from the jail on February 18, 1875, led them to a place near Hick Springs, and hanged them.

The Tennessee Faith & Freedom Coalition (TNFFC) called on Gov. Bill Lee (R-TN) Monday to cancel his proposed August 21 special session of the Tennessee General Assembly.
“We are writing you because you have made it clear that you are planning to use your authority to officially call an ill-advised special session of the Tennessee General Assembly on August 21st to address gun issues in the aftermath of the Covenant School shooting tragedy, a heinous and despicable act committed by a mentally ill individual who claimed to be on the transgender spectrum,” the TNFFC said in a letter sent to the governor. A copy of the letter was also sent to all members of the Tennessee General Assembly.

That's all fine and dandy but a better statement would be 'Cancel this special session because it's nothing more than a waste of our time and yours. We ain't passing shit'.
In a way though, I almost wish they do hold it and the radical leftists do burn the fucking town to the ground and show the RINO why we need more guns and less gun control.

Mysterious food deliveries are showing up in a Highland Park neighborhood, with residents receiving lattes, burgers and other food they never ordered or paid for.

Western Caucus Introduces Copper Industry Protections Bill
A group of Republicans announced on June 8 that they’ve introduced the Copper is Critical Act to Congress as a protection against potential future environmental restrictions upon the industry.
The bill comes shortly after U.S. Department of Interior Secretary Deb Haaland’s recent restrictions on drilling and mining on public land in northwest New Mexico. Rep. Juan Ciscomani, R-Ariz., views this as a threat to his home state, where copper mining is a leading industry, largely conducted on public and indigenous land.
Indictments, Republicans and Opposition to Donald Trump
As customary in this era of a great awakening, there are a lot more republican masks dropping this week. There is a great deal of sunlight upon the professional and institutional republican politicians that hold office, when contrast against the indictment of Donald Trump. As we bear witness to the establishment opposition of candidate Donald Trump, once again it is valuable to understand the motive at the heart of this opposition.
CTH can get down in the weeds of each specific issue to discuss the motives and intents (we will, and do), but the big picture MUST remain at the forefront of understanding. If we lose track of the big picture, the weeds are overwhelming.

Commentary: Court Rules Government Can’t Strip Second Amendment Rights from Those Convicted of Minor, Nonviolent Offenses
The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit held this week in Range v. Garland that the government cannot disarm people convicted of minor, nonviolent offenses. In doing so, it handed down perhaps the most significant Second Amendment victory since the Supreme Court’s landmark decision last year, where it held that Americans have a constitutional right to carry handguns in public for self-defense.
The Third Circuit’s decision in Range is noteworthy for several reasons and likely sets up one of the next major Second Amendment battles at the Supreme Court. So, what, exactly, was this case about, and what can we expect next?

Build The Resources Then Build The Life
Instead of looking at where we want to go, what we want to be, or what we want to do, and shrugging and saying “I just don’t have the resources for that”, we should go through the effort and the time of creating the resources. And then, once we have the resources that we have created, we can apply those resources to the life that we want. And this has very little to do with money.

A former West Wilson Middle School teacher announced her resignation before the school board this week, saying she’s had enough of unruly students and a lack of support from administrators.
“We've had students cause thousands of dollars in damage, steal and damage teachers’ property, sexually harassed teachers, threatened teachers and their fellow students in the form of a hit list, be under the influence of illegal drugs or vaping, and some being caught with illegal drugs, all which were given what I believe to be little punishment despite the county having zero tolerance policies with no accountability for behaviors,” Lauren Gray told the board.
Nashville Shooter Autopsy Obtained
Townhall has exclusively obtained trans-identified mass shooter Audrey "Aiden" Elizabeth Hale's autopsy report months after the murderer massacred six victims, including three children, at a private Christian elementary school in Nashville, Tennessee.
Though the cause of death was apparent, a hail of gunshots from a pair of heroic Nashville police officers who didn't hesitate to neutralize Hale, the public has been left wondering what drugs were in the mass shooter's system, if any, at the time of the Covenant School rampage. Included in the 11-page document from the Davidson County Medical Examiner's office, a toxicology report found that the blood-, urine- and vitreous-humor analysis performed on Hale did not detect abuse of substances or alcohol.
Commentary: The DOJ Just Opened Pandora’s Box
For the first time in American history, the leading candidate to defeat the incumbent president has been indicted by the incumbent’s Justice Department. Former President Donald Trump has been indicted by a federal grand jury for illegally retaining classified government documents and obstructing justice.
This is a momentous occasion, and not only for President Trump. This moment portends a massive change in the norms of this nation that all Americans who care about the neutral rule of law should pay close attention to, for it raises the specter of the partisan weaponization of the criminal justice system—not just by the Democrats targeting Trump but by Republicans who will certainly retaliate when they regain control of the criminal charging process.
